As client side project managers we are tasked with identification, management and delivery of project objectives. As the lead consultant and representative of our clients, we manage the project team and all internal and external stakeholders. This includes design consultants, contractors, authorities and neighbours, as well as financiers, sales and leasing agents as required.
Our experience and understanding of the project management process enables us to identify risks and put in place strategies to mitigate these risks. We provide leadership, drive and direction to achieve results.
Provide market information for use in client feasibility analysis of potential projects
Identify different delivery models and the impact on the development program
Assemble and manage the design team including negotiation of fees and contract conditions
Manage the development and documentation of the client’s design brief from concept to construction to suit the delivery model for the project
Ensure the design is “fit to market” as defined by the client’s objectives
Act as agent of our client’s to prepare the required documentation, submit and negotiate approvals from authorities
Identify the appropriate delivery model for the project and correct form of contract
Manage the tender process including preparation of all documentation, selection of the tenderers, assessment and recommendations
Negotiate and award the construction contract
Act as superintendent or contract administrator for all the project consultants and contractors
Manage the preparation and implementation of the project control plans
Ensure the project objectives of cost, time, quality, and safety are met
Convene and chair project meetings on a weekly, fortnightly or monthly basis
Provide regular reporting to meet our client’s needs
Manage the realisation process to achieve settlement or lease commencement
Manage the consultant team and contractor to identify project defects and implement a system for completion of defects within a reasonable period
Manage the finalisation of contract sums and return of project security
